When BREC was founded in 2010, the partners were able to self-perform the property management responsibilities themselves. This was made easier with the knowledge and support of Haycon, Inc who knew the units and systems inside and out given they had performed all of BREC's renovations. By 2012, the partners could no longer keep up with the property management alongside their day-to-day responsibilities on other sides of the business. Key hires were made that year and BREC's professional management division was founded. Today, BREC self-manages its entire portfolio through its sister company, Thatch, under the leadership of Corey Bradley. Thatch offers a network of housing options to provide our tenants with flexibility and functionality, whatever their housing needs may be. Our approach to management is as much about maintaining the physical properties as it is about building and maintaining relationships among our tenants, neighbors and team members.
